Primarily engravings, there are also original drawings and paintings (two floral plates by J. Leigh), and a two-page manuscript poem at the end, "The Last Leaf." There is a portrait of Burns and six relating to him, a portrait of Byron and six relating to him, and a portrait of Sir Walter Scott in his study and seven relating to him. There are portraits of artists, politicians, scenes in England, Ireland, Wales, and Scotland, all by well-known artists and engravers of the period. One album leaf has a display of "Thompson's Seasons, " a tiny printed book divided into 4 flat-lying sections made up like miniature volumes.
